4/7/2023 0 Comments Mountain dew apple dumplings![]() Bake at 350F until golden brown and apples are tender, about 40 minutes. Bake till golden brown (around 30 minutes) at 350F. Pour the can of Mt dew over the butter/sugar mixture and cover with foil. (This can also be done in a pot on the stove top if you prefer.) To that bowl, add the brown sugar, vanilla, and apple pie spice. Next melt the butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Place butter in a medium bowl and microwave for 30 seconds until melted. Pour the soda to the sides of the dumplings (not on top.) Wrap each apple chunk and lay in the pan. Combine melted butter, both sugars, and cinnamon together, then drizzle over the top of the dough. Transfer to a square baking dish coating with cooking spray in a single layer. Roll up the apple in a dough triangle, wrapping to enclose it, and pinch to seal. It’s so incredibly easy to make these crescent roll dumplings! Here’s a brief summary: It also boils down and contributes to the gooey sauce that will make your heart skip a beat. By pouring it around the edges of the pan, it creates moisture to cook the dumplings and an amazing crust on the crescent rolls while baking. The soda adds necessary carbonation – do not eliminate it, or these will not turn out right. Vanilla ice cream (optional for serving) – Ice cream is not needed to make these, but it sure is a delicious addition!. ![]()
